How have you taken care of your own mental health and wellbeing since the start of the Covid 19 Coronavirus pandemic?
Here are some of the things I have been doing to look after my mental health and wellbeing during lockdown:
- Every evening I record three things that have made me happy in my bedside journal
- I spend time walking, playing with and stroking my dog. She is an instant mood booster
- I facetime my family regularly to keep in touch
- I have been spending more time outdoors, either walking or riding my bike with my husband and children
- I have been taking online Spanish lessons to learn something new. Hola!
- I have been baking with my children including the obligatory banana cake
- I have been reading lots of books
How do you want to change the world?
I try and change the world by adding a little kindness into it. I believe that kindness is infectious and one kind act leads to another and another. It doesn’t matter what you do, it doesn’t matter how big or small the gesture is but a little bit of kindness goes a long way. A smile, a chat, making and delivering a cake to someone unexpectedly, sending a card or handwritten note or treating someone to a surprise coffee could be the difference between a good and bad day for someone. Try it and see…
