MHFAiders® bring valuable and essential support to workplace communities, and workplace mental health and wellbeing programs.
At Mind Matters we understand the importance of providing ongoing support and a ‘safe space ‘ for MHFAiders® to reflect. Many MHFAiders® volunteer for the MHFAider® role in addition to their usual workplace duties, and it is important to ensure their contributions are appreciated and that they feel supported as an MHFAider®
If you want your MHFAiders to feel valued, empowered and feel that they are part of a growing community, with a sense of ‘belonging’ then aftercare is an essential part of this journey.
Mind Matters is offering a 2-hour facilitated session to support ‘MHFAider® Aftercare’ and the opportunity for your MHFAiders® to network and share best practices with other members of the MHFA England MHFAider® community.
The 2-hour session will cover:
- Communicating the MHFAider® role to others
- Reflections on first aid support provided since qualifying as an MHFAider®
- Ongoing support for MHFAiders®
- Continued development for MHFAiders® and the RSPH City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid
- Revisiting boundaries and self-care
- MHFA and wellbeing strategies
What our learners said…
“The trainer ensured this course was both informative and interactive and it was a pleasure to attend. It would be good to have a quarterly catch up as a business for all the MHFA attendees, it doesn’t have to be long but would be good to ensure the network is kept live and in touch with current ongoing matters related to Mental Health and not fall into the trap of just doing the course and letting it subside.”
If you have a cohort of MHFAiders® who would benefit from an MHFA Instructor facilitated supportive ‘MHFAider® Aftercare’ session, please get in touch.
